The Mulberry Restaurant, Bewdley - Tuesday 21 May

THE MULBERRY RESTAURANT is rated #2 of all of Bewdley's many restaurants. It's tucked away well behind Load Street and specialises in good food.

Not fine dining and not pub grub, but somewhere between the two. And for dessert they still have a sweet trolley! You must remember those..... So plenty of wine, main, dessert(s) and coffee £30.

And then, if the weather is fine you could perhaps visit the Museum (opposite) with its row of shops, the antique and fashion retailers nearby, or go and sit by the river with an icecream if you still have room.....

Ralph Court Gardens, Bromyard & Lunch at the Green Cow - Thursday 20 June

RALPH COURT was built in 1850 for Reverend Arthur Lucton Childe. He was related to the Childe, Lacon - Childe and Baldwyn – Childe families of Kinlet Manor, Shropshire and Kyre Park, nr Tenbury Wells.

The present owners, Stephen and Paula Morgan purchased the property in 2004 and have created over 12 amazing gardens. From Italy to Africa the gardens transport you around the world and beyond into a fantasy world.

They stress this is nothing like an RHS garden and is designed to provide fun and interest. The garden pictured was inspired by Claude Monet's 'The Japanese Footbridge'. We start our day with a cappuccino in their restaurant overlooking the Malvern Hills.

And to follow an absolute treat! A couple of miles along a farm road and in a converted pigsty is GREEN COW KITCHENS.

Google it on Trip Advisor - 5 stars from every reviewer. The restaurant is simple but the food is amazing and all foraged or provided by local farms.

Celebrity Chef Pat McDonald started me off on these ladies' lunches around twenty years ago - he lives nearby and has had a hand in creating Green Cow and can occasionally be found in the kitchen there. Trust me, the food is to die for. Coach £60

Ragley Hall, Park, House and Gardens - Wednesday 24 July

RAGLEY HALL, Park and Gardens is the family home of the Marquis and Marchioness of Hertford. After coffee in the Terrace Cafe we will be able to explore the state rooms of this fine Palladian mansion built in 1680 on our guided tour.

A two course lunch with wine and coffee will follow and then another guided tour of the formal gardens by Head Gardener, Mark Morrell. We can explore the gardens, stables and carriage collection at our leisure. Many of you will not require a coach for this one and the cost is £38.

For those preferring not to have the worry of getting there I will organise a small coach and you will need to add on £10 for this

Brompton Cookery School, Shrewsbury - Tuesday 10 September

aspire lunch

Ladies Who Lunch is a group of ladies from all over Worcestershire and the West Midlands who aspire to dine in all the best restaurants, both local to Worcestershire and on occasion further afield.

Over the past couple of years we have dined at Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and taken afternoon tea at both The Ritz and The Savoy.

Ladies of any age are welcome to join us, and occasionally we are able to invite husbands and partners, for example to Ludlow Races. And just so we don't feel too self-indulgent at most of our events we aspire to raise money for local charities and in particular Kemp Hospice

Most of our lunches comprise two courses (main and dessert), plus coffee/tea and two glasses of wine. Soft drinks are usually available as an alternative.

We travel to many of the events by coach, usually with pick-ups at The Lyttelton at Hagley or Stone Manor at Kidderminster. If our event is in the right direction we can also sometimes pick up at Sixways, Worcester.
